Set up recurring customers (regulars)
Most landscapers have the same customers most weeks — mow the Pattersons Monday, hit the Davis property Tuesday, bi-weekly trim at the Rodriguez's. Recurring lets you tell YardBill about those arrangements once, then every week you tap one button and YardBill builds that week's invoices as drafts. You review each one and send. No re-typing, no "did I bill them yet this week?" in your head on Friday night.
What recurring is for
The Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday mowing regulars. The monthly maintenance contracts. The biweekly trim. Any customer where you know the work, you know the price, and you know the rough cadence.
Not a fit: one-off jobs, big projects billed at completion, or anything that changes week to week enough that you'd edit the invoice every time. For those, write a fresh quote or invoice.
Set one up
Open Recurring → Set up recurring.
- Pick the customer. Or create one right from the picker.
- Drop services from your chips. Same chip row as quotes and invoices — one tap per service.
- Pick a frequency. Weekly, every 2 weeks, or monthly. Match whatever the customer agreed to.
- Set a start date. When the first billable visit happens. YardBill calculates the next due date from there.
- Save.
Each week: review and send
Every week (or cycle) a "ready to bill" banner shows up on your dashboard when regulars are due. Tap Build this week's drafts and YardBill creates a draft invoice for every regular that's due this cycle.
You're not on autopilot — the invoices are drafts, not sent. Open each one, look it over, adjust if last week's work was different (extra property, skipped side yard), and tap send. Three minutes on a Friday morning covers a full route.
Pause, skip, or end a schedule
Skip next visit. One-off: you're on vacation next week, or the customer cancelled that visit. Opens the next one as normal.
Pause. Indefinite stop until you resume. Use this for seasonal customers who go quiet in winter.
End. The customer's done — moved away, fired you, whatever. The recurring stops. Their history (past invoices) stays intact.
Not sure who to add as a regular yet? Write a standard quote first and bring them into recurring once you've done a job or two.
